Important limits on how you should use TDEEHQ calculators and articles.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Educational purpose
TDEE, BMR, macro, and related tools on this site estimate energy needs using published formulas (including Mifflin-St Jeor and Katch-McArdle) and standard activity multipliers. Results are population-level approximations. Your true needs can differ because of genetics, medication, illness, measurement error, and day-to-day activity that formulas cannot see.
Who should get professional advice first
Talk to a doctor, registered dietitian, or other qualified clinician before changing diet or training if you:
- Are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding
- Have a history of eating disorders
- Have diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or other metabolic conditions
- Take medications that affect weight, appetite, or fluid balance
- Are under 18 or supervising a minor’s nutrition
- Are recovering from surgery or significant illness
No guarantees
We do not guarantee weight loss, muscle gain, performance, or any health outcome. Tracking your own weight and adjusting intake over time is still required; the calculator is a starting point.

Articles may cite or link to studies and third-party resources. We strive for accuracy but research evolves. Links do not mean endorsement.
